Earnings (Loss) Per Common Share (EPS) |
(3) Earnings (Loss) Per Common Share (EPS) Basic earnings (loss) per common share (“EPS”) is computed by dividing net earnings (loss) attributable to common shareholders by the weighted average number of common shares outstanding (“WASO”) for the period. Diluted EPS presents the dilutive effect on a per share basis of potential common shares as if they had been converted at the beginning of the periods presented. Excluded from EPS for both of the three months ended March 31, 2023 and 2022 are 3 million of potential common shares due to stock options because their inclusion would be antidilutive.
