(10) Employee Benefit Plans Consolidated companies of TripCo sponsor 401(k) plans, which provide their employees an opportunity to make contributions to a trust for investment in Liberty common stock, as well as other mutual funds. The Company’s consolidated companies make matching contributions to the plans based on a percentage of the amount contributed by employees. Employer cash contributions related to BuySeasons and TripAdvisor were $5 million and $5 million for the years ended December 31, 2014 and 2013, respectively and less than a million for 2012.
